The restoration works were focused on maintaining the structural integrity of the fortress and ensuring its long-term preservation as a cultural and tourist destination.
Work Performed:
The restoration included thorough cleaning of the joints between the fortress’s stones to remove accumulated dirt and erosion residues. The casemates (underground chambers) were carefully restored to preserve their historical authenticity and improve their structural stability. Additionally, specialized solutions were applied to the fortress walls to ensure long-term conservation and protection from environmental factors such as moisture and temperature fluctuations.
Result & Conclusion:
The Soroca Fortress was successfully restored and preserved, ensuring that this historical monument remains a key attraction for both tourists and local residents. The cleaned and reinforced walls significantly enhance the fortress's visual appeal, while the restored casemates provide insight into its historical significance.
